I am divorced, and having gone through the process and paid the legal fees, I thought there must be a better way. I completed additional mediation training so that my work with clients is confidential. In 2018, I founded Powder Point Mediation.
Colleen Carroll, principal and owner of Powder Point Mediation, is a cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School, admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Massachusetts, New York state courts and the United State Supreme Court.
"In 2000, after many years working for the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office and then a prestigious Boston firm, I established my own practice, providing legal services in all phases of litigation including trials in the District, Superior and Probate and Family Courts. I have represented large insurance companies, corporate and individual clients and provided defense for individuals charged with felonies and misdemeanors. As a family law attorney, I bring my extensive trial skills to the representation of individuals in contested and uncontested family law matters including divorce, modifications, contempts, conservator and guardianship matters, restraining orders, conciliations and trials in the Probate & Family Court. I am committed to volunteerism and have been recognized for my pro bono work year after year with the First Justices Award for Pro Bono Excellence.
In my spare time, I am a competitive rower, an organic gardener and share my home with my 2 rescue dogs, Finn and Gus."
Bringing the background of a courtroom litigator, the skill of a boardroom negotiator, the experience of divorced party to your mediation.
Courthouse closures have delayed divorce proceedings for many and will continue into the foreseeable future with significant backlogs. Consider mediation to bring your matter to a close on your terms and in your time.
