Why mediation?

How can mediation help me?

Colleen Carroll is a highly skilled family law attorney and mediator who can assist couples in finding creative solutions to divorce amicably.

Courts have been largely closed since March, 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.  This closure has caused significant delays in the resolution of divorce matters and the backlog of cases is substantial.  The Probate Court's scheduled reopening in July, 2021 will result in a flood of new contested filings with court dates far into the future.  Mediation can offer divorcing couples resolution more quickly and at a fraction of the cost.

Attorney Carroll is a member of the Board of Directors of the Plymouth County Bar Association, a Conciliator at the Plymouth County Probate and Family Courts through Pilgrim Advocates where she is regularly appointed by the Court to assist couples in resolving their family law disputes, a volunteer Attorney of the Day in the Plymouth County Probate and Family Courts, a volunteer to the ARC program and a member of the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation.

Attorney Carroll's practice focuses on all areas of family law.  As a mediator, she assists couples in cooperatively resolving their divorce, child custody, support, property division and post divorce modifications.
